Murder Among People is my production company, though I’m not sure I can go so far as to call it a company. I came up with the name several summers ago, when my dad decided that he, my sister, and myself would make a movie in the last two weeks we had before my sister and I went back home.
Thus, ‘Plumbers, Androids and Chickens‘ was brought into the world. It is a simple story:
In a world where every movie begins with “In a world…”, a teenage brother and sister on summer vacation in rural Iowa are determined to do something productive with their time. They decide to make a movie on their own. But, will their collective ideas join forces and allow them to craft the summer blockbuster of the midwest, or will their creative minds simply get the best of them before time runs out and their summer vacation is over?
The movie itself is about 8 minutes, and the credits run about half that time. “Murder Among People” is behind a few scripts in circulation. One of which is complete and ready to go, though the production staff thinks it might be best to pull a ‘James Cameron’… waiting for the technology to become available.
